Gatehouse Developments (GP) Inc. (“Gatehouse GP”) serves as the general partner of Gatehouse (Proper) Limited Partnership (“Gatehouse Proper LP”), while Gatehouse Partners Inc. (“Gatehouse Partners”) is the Gatehouse Trustee of Gatehouse Real Estate Trust (“Gatehouse Trust”). All were formed in British Columbia and are part of the Gatehouse Group. Gatehouse Partners is the administrator of both Gatehouse Trust and Gatehouse Proper LP, (Gatehouse Trust, Gatehouse Proper LP, together with any future limited partnerships formed the “Gatehouse Partners Funds”).
The Gatehouse Partners Funds were formed to enable eligible investors to invest in certain real estate development projects involving the Gatehouse Group. Previously, only a select few accredited investors were invited to participate in these projects. The Gatehouse Partners Funds presents a unique chance to invest passively with the Gatehouse Group in residential development projects located in strategic growth areas of the British Columbia real estate market and earn an attractive return.
Gatehouse Proper LP is a single-purpose limited partnership formed by Gatehouse Partners to develop the Proper Property in Surrey British Columbia. To participate in this project, qualified investors may purchase limited partnership units of Gatehouse Proper LP using cash or purchase designated trust units of Gatehouse Trust using cash or funds from their new or existing registered savings plans, such as the Tax-Free Savings Account (TFSA), the Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP), Spousal RRSP, the Registered Retirement Income Fund (RRIF), or the Locked-In Retirement Account (LIRA). Gatehouse Trust intends to elect to become a mutual fund trust under the Income Tax Act (Canada) within 90 days after its first-year end.
